29 谷口吉郎・吉生記念金沢建築館 Yoshiro and Yoshio Taniguchi Museum of Architecture, Kanazawa

This museum of architecture and urban design was designed by the world-renowned architect Yoshio Taniguchi. It stands on the site of the former residence of Yoshiro Taniguchi, Yoshio’s father, who is an established architect and the first honorary citizen of Kanazawa City. Among its displays is a replica of Yoshiro Taniguchi’s famous work, “Yushintei”, the Japanese-style annex of the State Guest House Akasaka Palace. Visitors can see architectural works of both Taniguchi architects, as well as learn about Kanazawa’s multi-layered architectural culture.
